Do you know when to tap?
One of the keys to staying healthy in Martial Arts (Mostly BJJ) is knowing when to tap. Last night my ego got the best of me and I didn't tap when I should off and now I am paying the price.
I think knowing when to tap also has real life equivalents. I think it is important to know when to reset and do things different. When to move on or change gears instead of holding on to long. Sometimes it is our ego that does not let us move on. We are so bent on showing everyone that our way is correct we don't listen to others who want to help along the way and get in a bad situation where we just need to tap and move on.
My arm will heal but I learned a valuable lesson not on in BJJ but also in life.
